Newborn Mittens

Wish I could say that I was upcycling here . . . but no, these are newborn mittens made from purchased 100% cotton yarn. But now that I have all the left overs . . . consider this a preview for an upcoming post featuring a baby afghan made from the remains of the yarn bought for the mittens!

Ballet Bag






I used this British Airways inflight children's toy bag as my model, and this pile of crafting supplies (much of which is left over from other projects).


T Shirt Scraps = Dress



After making a bath mat out of old t shirts, I was left with a pile of sleeves and the upper parts of the shirts (from the bottom of the arm opening to the neckline). The front and back of this dress was made from these upper shirt scraps, while the side band was made from one long sleeve.

From Coffee Cans to Storage Solutions



If you start every morning with these . . .





eventually you end up with many of these.






Trying for subtly with white contact paper,
the cans now
calm the choas of my crafting supplies,
while allowing easy access.
